I cant lay this shit down perfectly but recovery wise you start recovering in stage 4 and 5 of sleep during sleep these stages alter and go from 1-5 i think and you reach 5 at 7.5 hours so yea 7.5-8 is perfect as you would be in recovery mode 3 times and that would be most beneficial as saying you slept 6 you'd only of gone into that mode twice
